Oh Oleana

Sometimes you see something magical. Something that transports you into a story. Rich with characters, scenery and mood. I feel that I stumbled across these totems more often when I was a child, where a simple acorn could spark my imagination. Now a days that something has to be really special to get me to travel to a new world. Which is why Oleana is so exciting. I look at these clothes and see a girl with power and presence yet the type of softness that brings fawns to eat from your palm. I see days spent exploring and visiting and romancing. I see kisses in the snow....Sigh. Then I turn around and see myself, the silly hopeless romantic dreamer who doesn't have $400 for a sweater. Oh well. A girl can dream. So lets...

I love how these rich delicate patterns are matched with shimmering silks. I love mittens and satin brocade. I love pearl earrings and sashes as you cuddle sheep. I actually think that scenario expresses me pretty well. Fanciful in the fields.

Indeed all the goods are truly expensive, but I don't hold it against them, they are gorgeous and so well made (yes I have seen them in real life). Not to mention they are good enough for Michelle Obama.

So lets curtsey to the lovely Oleana and make our own inspiried look as we wait for a nordic fairy to gift us the real deal.
