Celebrity Moment

Celebrity Moment

Gosh I am sorry I have taken so long to post! I had a sudden burst of business, and it all just got away from me. But the good news is that I have been busy with wonderful artistic things. Well what with going to a special Anthropologie event on Wednesday, having a girls night in with the horrendous Project Accessory on Thursday, the theater on Friday, and the ballet on Saturday.... Phew so much culture! :) So lets begin with the beginning. Thats right, I went to an event at anthro! But better than that was who was hosting it... Cassandra of Coco+Kelly! I have been reading her blog for years now, it was one of the first blogs I ever read in fact. It is really an eye candy blog, everything is so luxurious, decadent and downright gorgeous. I highly recommend it. And of course I had a celebrity moment when I saw her in person at Anthropolgie, I was super blushy and silent in awe. Rather embarrassing for me, but quite entertaining for boyfriend.

Anywho, the event was a tutorial on how to put together a non-traditonal, fun and eclectic holiday table top. Cassandra did a great job of layering dish-ware and showing how each place setting can have its own personality. Which I think is a great idea. Wouldn't you want to sit down and the floral and green stripes place setting rather than boring setting number 4? I sure would.

Oh yes and I also worked up the nerve to ask for a photo together. Yay.

When perusing Anthropologie's website I noticed a new feature; "Table Top Artistry" a table top design tool. This new addition is not a coincidence I am sure. They must really want to push their tableware. None the less it is great fun, you should go play. Here is what I came up with, obviously not as good as Cassandra:

They have also added a mix and match bedding tool. Which is still fun but not quite as satisfying because you can only select a duvet and sheet set. No throw pillows or quilts or nothin. So not Anthropologie really. Although it did succed in securing my crush on these sheets...

So that is my celebrity story. Well... she is a celebrity to me at least. And I am now totally inspired to host a fabulous holiday tea party with layers of pretty porcelain, you?
