Mini Monday: Kitchen Shrink

Mini Monday: Kitchen Shrink

Welcome to the second installment of Mini Monday! Ok. Now, lets all just admit here and now that despite feverishly pinning and wishing, most of us are never going to have the stunning spaces we collect on Pinterest. Sad but true. Well, what if I told you that you could have all the dream worthy rooms you can imagine? You can!... Just in a teeny weeny version.

Something I aim to do in these features is show that minis that can be just as modern, fresh and lovely as the spaces we dream of for our life size world. Who says miniatures have to be stuffy victorian displays? I take my inspiration from spaces I would want to live in. Like this one: a classy contemporary kitchen. You know I can't resist a well done white kitchen.

See the mini possibilities? No? Well, just to prove it, I have whipped up this mini mood board to show how you can recreate the look for a teeny space.

Everything is mini but the marble (aren't those succulents amazing)! But don't ya worry, making a marble counter top will be one of my summer project goals. I am dying to find a good solution as my mini spaces are surely missing a little luxe.

PS: I am starting my 3rd week of teaching "mini mania" today at the local community ed program. Each week I have new students (grades 5-8) excited to make their own miniatures and it has been so a great experience each time.
