Time for a dip.

Time for a dip.

Is it hot in here? I think so. Today was an official summer day. June 1st, last day of classes and seriously muggy and warm. I have kicked off the season with a fire and smores, breeze blowing through the windows, walks in the temperamental Seattle sunshine, minty fizzy drinks, a classic white sundress and a barbecue. But you know what I am really craving? A dip in a fresh water lake. Mmmm yes. And I really do mean swim. Not that "let's go to the lake to just get premature wrinkles and not get wet" business. I mean a lovely refreshing swim, and maybe some flirty splashes with my love. One of my favorite sensations is when you have changed into warm dry clothes and your body is fully at rest after a good long swim. Its a deep rooted memory from childhood summers up north spending the whole day in the water. And it is just as wonderful as an adult. I guess I'll have to wait for our vacation for that, but in the mean time I'll just sigh wistfully over these beautiful homes on the water.
